I just found out about this very useful website for anyone who has to call UK businesses from abroad and wants to avoid heinous calling costs to 08*** numbers - say not to 0870 allows you to enter the 08*** number you have to find the standard landline alternative, or you can search by business name and department. we've had banks swear blind they only have 08*** numbers but found landline alternatives through this website. happy dialing!
